Win a Patriots jersey, Vote for the Road to MetLife Stadium Patriots MVP - Week 13

As the Patriots begin their quest to MetLife Stadium for the Super Bowl, we've decided to chronicle that journey by highlighting the heroes from each game.

The Patriots game against the Texans was a wild one. The Pats didn't seem to be able to do anything in the first half, but came alive in the second and survived in Houston. Finding a hero in this one will be a tough choice.

Luckily for us, that decisions falls to you.

All year long, we'll be running a contest to celebrate the Road to MetLife stadium, asking you guys to weigh in on who the MVP of each game is. As a reward, the jersey of the Patriots player to earn the most votes the entire year will be given away to a random person that weighed in on our weekly polls.

Here's how it works.

Each week, you will vote in the poll below for who you think deserves to win MVP for that week's game. Each vote earns you 1 entry into this raffle. That means if you vote every single week, you'll have a total of 16 entries. You can earn additional entries by liking us on facebook, following us on twitter, and tweeting about the contest. Please see below for easy access to doing all of that!

So, now the question remains. Who was the MVP of the game against the Texans?

A lot of the focus will be on the offensive side of the ball and the 34 points put on the board. However, let's not forget about the special teams that put 6 of those on the board.

The Patriots scored four straight touchdowns before stalling in the fourth quarter. Given the way that the Texans were decimating that Patriots defense, that could have been crucial. Thankfully for the Pats, they have Stephen Gostowski's leg.

Gostowski drilled two straight field goals from 53 yards, the last of which turned out to be the game winning kick. Does that make him MVP?

Tom Brady did his part as well, overcoming a first quarter interception to throw for two touchdowns and 371 yards. In the second half, Brady was a machine and led the team to comeback from yet another halftime deficit. He was helped by Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman, who each had huge days totaling over 100 yards receiving each.

While the defense didn't have many bright spots, Rob Ninkovich was one of them, applying a lot of pressure on rookie QB Case Keenum.

It should be an exciting year as the league journeys towards MetLife Stadium in February. We're looking forward to some victories and more Patriots MVPs! Make sure to vote today!
