Chandler Jones is a complete SACKcuess

I'm pretty proud of myself for that title.

There are just so many reasons to love this guy. He's big, he's young, got ton of talent, he is the pass rusher the Patriots have been looking for forever. He plays with his hand in the ground, he plays standing up, he even moves in and plays over the center and muscles grown ass men out of the way. Chandler Jones can do everything and Bill Belichick loves showing him off:

The guy is a workhorse.

But it's not just about being versatile and able to play a lot of snaps. It's what you did with those snaps.

Jones ends the regular season with 79 total tackles (40 solo 39 assist), 11.5 sacks, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. While he didn't make the sack jump that players like Jason Pierre Paul (2010: 4.5, 2011: 16.5) and J.J. Watt (2011: 5.5, 2012: 20.5) made in their sophomore season, his play still took an enormous step forward. Jones led the Patriots with his sack total and was 7th in the NFL. He applied constant pressure every week and could always be seen in the opponents backfield.

Jones isn't just a one trick pony. He also has become a strong run defender on the outside. He can move across the line extremely well and gets to the running back quickly. He also has a high motor and often will run down the play from behind and make the big tackle.

I can't wait to see what Jones can do in this postseason and what he can do in his career. He's got everything a top notch pass rusher needs and I would expect him to only get better from here. Plus, let us never forget that the Jets were going to take Jones, but passed on him for Quinton Coples. Good job Jets! Thank you. We love him here in New England.
