Did Belichick snub Welker after the game?

After most football games, players and coaches from both teams will collect in the middle of the field to acknowledge each other out of respect and sometimes to catch up with former friends and/or teammates. There are however, some people that take a loss worse than others and decide that they do not feel like socializing. It is not uncommon for the losing head coach to very briefly shake the hand of his opponent before departing without much said.

Bill Belichick is notorious for taking losses badly. He has been a part of many awkward/short midfield meetings with other coaches, but this time it was his former star receiver that got the short end of the stick. You can clearly see Wes Welker chatting up with Chandler Jones before he spots Belichick out of the crowd. The wide receiver quickly runs over to his old coach to get a handshake, but Bill is very blunt and cold in his acknowledgment of his former star.

You might be quick to think that this snub was a result of Belichick's displeasure with Welker's hit on Aqib Talib, but the Patriots coach did not sound off about that until he had time to watch the film again. So this was likely just Belichick being Belichick. He is a man that takes his job very seriously and simply does not particularly enjoy congratulating the opponent. Whether Welker took personal offense to this or not is unknown, but he is on his way to the Super Bowl so this is probably the last thing on his mind.
