Julian Edelman enjoys quieting fans on the road

There's nothing more important in any sporting event than home field advantage. Regardless of sport, fans impact the results of any sporting events. In the NFL, you obviously have to look no further than the annoying Seattle fans and other noteworthy fans such as Kansas City. In the NBA, one could say the Oklahoma City Thunder have the loudest fans, taking it further. Perhaps the best fans are in college sports, football and basketball, with all the crazed student sections including one close to my heart--living in San Diego--the student section "The Show" at SDSU during basketball events.

Nevertheless, the point I'm trying to make here is simple. Nothing is more important for road teams to get the crowd out of the game, and some players like Edelman, enjoy this moment.

"You get to see a new stadium. You see how it is in other places. You’re kinda hated by everyone, and that’s always kind of a — that’s a fun kinda — you’re like the villain."

These were just some of the words Edelman was quoted saying in an interview on NESN.com, an interview you can see in it's entirety here.
