Patriots better off without Brady throwing a touchdown pass?

That's what the stats prove. That's right, as unbelievable as it sounds, the Patriots are actually 4-0 in playoff games without a pass from the hall of fame and star quarterback Tom Brady. Which games are these would you ask?

January 19th, 2002: Raiders-Patriots: 16-13 W
January 27th, 2002: Steelers-Patriots: 24-17 W
January 22nd, 2012: Ravens-Patriots: 23-20 W
January 11th, 2014: Colts-Patriots: 43-22 W

The one constant in all of these games is that the defense kept their team in the games. In the Raiders game which many remember as the snow game, aside from the horrid conditions, it was 7-0 at halftime. In the Steelers game, at the half it was 14-3 Patriots, taking some of the heat off of a young Tom Brady. In the Ravens playoff game, the score at the half was 13-10 with New England leading and holding the Ravens to a simple 20 yard field goal and held them to another relatively short field goal. Finally, in the Colts playoff game, aside from the snap going over the head for a safety, the Patriots held the dynamic Colts offense to really only 10 points while the Patriots running game took over the offense.

So how fearful should the Broncos be about the Patriots running game? Or of that defense? The gameplan was beautiful last game, what do the Patriots have up Belichick's neatly trimmed sleeve? We'll find out Sunday!
