Patriots' Nick Caserio interviewing for Miami's open GM job

The Patriots director of pro personnel is looking to make like Scott Pioli.

Caserio is looking to bolt New England to take a promotion in Miami, as he's emerged as a candidate for their open General Manager position.

He'd follow the same path as Scott Pioli, who left a similar position with the Patriots to take on the Kansas City Chiefs' GM job. As soon as Pioli left, Caserio took over as Director of Player Personnel, where he's been ever since. He was actually the wide receivers coach in 2007, obviously the year of Brady's (then) record breaking 50 touchdown year.

Caserio has been with the Pats since 2001, when he started as a personnel assistant.

The Patriots have now lost linebackers coach Pepper Johnson, offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia and tight end coach George Godsey.
