Seattle - the worst possible outcome for Denver

And then there were 2. On one side, the best offense in the history of the league led by a Hall of Fame quarterback. On the other side, the best defense in the league led by one of the best corners in the game. This is quite possibly the worst case scenario for Denver's high powered offense. Why? Let's start with Richard Sherman. He flew off the handle after the game last night, but the guy can play. There's no point denying it, no matter how angry you got after his rant last night. Seattle will probably put him on different receivers, and I'm sure he'll be up to the challenge.

Then, of course, there's the ability of the Seahawks defense to take the ball away. They forced 3 4th quarter turnovers, including a strip sack of Colin Kapaernick and the game ending interception that Sherman tipped to Malcolm Smith. The defense forced 28 interceptions during the regular season, including 3 pick 6's, and 18 forced fumbles in the regular season, so that is something the Broncos should be concerned with. The Seahawks can also get after the quarterback, but Denver's offensive line has been superb in the playoffs - Manning has been touched twice in his first 2 playoff games and hasn't been sacked. I would be more concerned with Seattle's ability to take the ball away if I were Denver because I think Denver's offensive line can match up with Seattle's defensive front pretty well.

On the other side of the ball, I think Denver matches up pretty well with Seattle, but this is a nightmare matchup for Denver purely because of Seattle's defense. I think Manning, even with his talent and all his weapons, will have a lot of problems with Seattle's defense. Especially given Peyton's trouble in cold weather.
