Sporting News ranks Tom Brady last among playoff QBs

The Sporting News ranked the quarterbacks left in the playoffs this week and the brain trust had Patriots QB Tom Brady last on the list.

That's right, dead last.

Sporting News scribe Vinnie Iyer had Brady behind Peyton Manning, Russell Wilson, this weeks opponent Andrew Luck, Drew Brees, Cam Newton, Colin Kaepernick and even bolo-tie wearing Philip Rivers.

Iyer broke the quarterbacks down into five different categories: arm strength, accuracy, mobility, pocket presence and intangibles. Brady finished near the bottom in each category.

The one category that Iyer seemed to ignore may be the one of most importanance - Super Bowl wins. Brady has three, the other seven have two combined.

Iyer appeared on WEEI Boston's Mutt & Merloni show Thursday and had some 'splainin' to do.
“Is it an exact science? No. It’s just the way I saw it come together. I didn’t intentionally have Tom Brady last. It’s just the way it came together. It was just an exercise where I wanted to see how these quarterbacks stack up.”

The Patriots love the "disrespect card" and you better believe that Tom Brady, the NFL’s all-time leader in postseason victories for a quarterback, has this one taped right to his locker.
