Peyton plays a round with Belichick

Ian Rapoport posted a picture on Twitter of Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning playing a practice round of golf with Patriots coach Bill Belichick yesterday at Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Pretty cool, I guess. Even 2 rivals can get along.

So, why Peyton and Bill? Peyton probably needed help getting over the humiliation of his crushing Super Bowl loss at the hands of the Seahawks. And to help with getting over the loss, Peyton joined the Pro-Am, which is hosted by the Patriots.

And Tom Brady will be heading down to participate in the Pro-Am tournament as well. Rivals they may be, but Peyton actually gets along pretty well with Tom Brady. Here's what Brady had to say on the subject, according to the Washington Post.

“We’re pretty good friends,” Brady told MMQB.com’s Peter King last summer. “I like that. It’s important to me. Peyton has two brothers he’s really close to; I don’t have a brother. We’re competitors on the field, but there’s no reason we can’t be good friends off it. There’s not many people who understand what our jobs are really like, on and off the field.”
