Armond Armstead will be ready for offseason programs

The mysterious entity known as "Armond Armstead," who hails from the CFL via USC, is reportedly on pace to be ready for the beginning of offseason workouts on April 21st, this according to Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald.

Little is known about Armstead, aside from that he is a 6'5", 305 pound defensive lineman who showed talent during his time at USC and was thought to be a potential contributor to last seasons squad, but ended up missing the entire season with an infection that occured in the offseason. He was placed on season ending IR in late August.

Despite upgrading the defense so far this offseason, the defensive line remains an area of concern as the status of Vince Wilfork and Tommy Kelly remain up in the air, and it is unkown whether either will be back next year.

If healthy, Armstead could potentially add depth. I will believe it when I see it.
