Patriots sign Will Smith
It is being reported that the Patriots have agreed to a deal this afternoon with free agent defensive end Will Smith. Smith will be entering his tenth year in the league. The previous nine season were spent with the Saints. Over that span, Smith accumulated 67.5 sacks.
The Patriots needed to add depth at the position behind Chandler Jones and Rob Ninkovich, and Smith should certainly help in that department. He has not been on the field in a while, as he missed all of last season after tearing his ACL in the preseason.
