Former Browns linebacker Quentin Groves meets with Patriots


It's June, and that means it's the point on the "off-season" when teams will start kicking the tires on veterans lingering around.

The Patriots love this time of year, as they recently brought in Kevin Williams and are now hosting former Browns linebacker Quentin Groves.

The Patriots have reportedly taken a look at one of the more notable edge defenders available in free agency.

Ex-Browns linebacker Quentin Groves took a visit to New England on Wednesday, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media. What’s more, Washington will host Groves on Thursday, Rapoport reported.

Groves was just released by the Browns last week and was a special teams aficionado. He would certainly provide the Patriots some depth at the linebacker position, which they are certainly lacking.
