Mr. Bundchen and Mr. Kunis, Tom Brady and Ashton Kutcher at the World Cup Final together

The World Cup final attracted lots of attention, according to the associated press, Vladimir Putin, Mick Jagger and Lebron James all took their talents to Brazil for Sunday's game. Shakira sang the National Anthem; Carlos Santana played his guitar during the closing ceremonies and Gisele Bundchen carried the trophy onto the field before the match. Look at this list tweeted out by Daniel McDonald of the Irish Independent that I found on Deadspin.

That is an amazing group of people. Guess who was there hanging out with Ashton Kutcher? Tom Brady, or because they were in Brazil, Mr. Gisele Bundchen.

FIFA had put together such an impressive list of dignitaries and celebrities they didn’t need to include Brady as anything other than a plus one. That is an amazing feat. As a sidenote, who knew Wyclef Jean was still relevant enough to rate being on a list like this ahead of Tom Brady?

In the picture of Tom and Ashton, Ashton is wearing a Chicago Bears hat. Being from Iowa its hard to be upset with him for that and Brady is hardly the type to call out someone for supporting a team just because he plays for another. The conversation was probably something far more mundane.
Ashton: There’s about 75,000 people here, right? That’s like playing in a Super Bowl, right Tom?
Tom: The media attention sure, but I played in front of 110,000 at Michigan. But what about you? You get seen by millions every week!
Ashton: Yeah, that is pretty cool.

See, just two regular guys. The conversation I wished they had goes something like this.
Tom: Ashton, I love punk’d. Just amazing, in the Pats locker room I have something of a reputation for practical jokes.
Ashton: Thanks, that’s a great compliment!
Tom: So you see Vlad Putin over there? He’s still got one of my owners original Super Bowl rings. Let’s punk him right now.
Ashton: You wanna punk Putin?
Tom: Why not? He can’t have us killed during the World Cup final, can he?

But, we know that conversation never happened anywhere outside of my imagination, and there is no evidence that Putin stole a Super Bowl ring from Robert Kraft, but if there were, what a story THAT would be.
