Pro Bowl Chiefs safety Eric Berry was carted off the practice field today with an apparent ankle injury. At this hour it is being reported the team has reached an agreement with Steve Gregory. Whether or not these two occurrences are directly related is unclear, but either way, the former Patriots defensive back has found a new home in the AFC.

Gregory played for the Patriots in 2012 and 2013, accumulating 81 tackles, 8 passes defensed, and three interceptions during that span. Prior to his stint in New England he played for six seasons in San Diego. Gregory's most memorable moment in a Patriots uniform was when he scooped up the infamous "Butt Fumble" and returned it for a touchdown in Thanksgiving against the Jets. He was released by the team this past February.
