Wes Welker's thoughts on facing Darrelle Revis

Last Friday, Wes Welker was in town and made an appearance on 98.5 The Sports Hub. Obviously the primary topic was football and Wes was asked his thoughts on playing against the Patriots' newest defensive stud, Darrelle Revis:

“We used to have a lot of battles, when he was with the Jets and I was here. He would come in the slot and kind of follow me around there for a few years. He’s one of the best I’ve been against, definitely a great player. You can tell he really studies his opponent and really gets to know them. He’s a very, very strong guy. You try and mix it up with him, he’s just one of those super-natural really strong guys. You’re like, ‘Dang, I really can’t do anything against this guy right now.’ He’s a great player and we’ll definitely have our work cut out for us. Hopefully he follows Demaryius [Thomas] around whenever we play them.”

First, this is why I'm not in radio. If I was working the Sports Hub and had Wes on, it would have been a twenty minute rant about my anger and hatred towards him. He probably would have punched me and I would have cried.

But I am excited to see what the Broncos will be able to do against our vastly improved secondary. They'll quickly learn that Demaryius Thomas can't get open, Wes drops balls and they should have kept Decker. Oh, and that Manning is old and losing arm strength.

Good luck Denver!
