Patriots lose 16-13 in preseason finale

The Giants came away with the victory in the preseason finale kicking a late game field goal to seal the victory.

Jimmy Garoppolo played his first full game in tonights preseason finale against the New York Giants. He went through a few struggles throughout the game but overall put in another solid performance. He threw for 266 yards on twenty one completions with one touchdown and one interception. Aaron Dobson returned tonight for his first live game action and caught three passes for fifty seven yards and a touchdown.

Timothy Wright made his Patriots debut tonight after being acquired earlier in the week in the shocking Logan Mankins trade. He had four receptions for forty six yards in limited action. Steve Beauharnais put a solid defensive performance tonight collecting seven total tackles as he looks to earn a roster spot.

The young offensive line (without Logan Mankins) struggled to get a running game going tonight as the Patriots gathered just fifty four yards on twenty three attempts

The Patriots must cut down their roster to fifty three men by Saturday at 4:00.

The Patriots open up the regular season against the Miami Dolphins Sunday September 7th at 1:00 in Miami.
