According to multiple reports (see tweets below), Sean Gilbert, who hopes to replace DeMaurice Smith as the head of the NFL Players Association believes he has enough evidence to void the current Collective Bargaining Agreement, negotiated by Smith a few years back.

.

Among other things, he doesn't like the 18 game schedule proposal and he also believes around $2.5 billion was shifted from players to owners, according to reports (see below).

According to CBS Sports, he also outlined several financial failings of the CBA, the salary cap for example. Under the CBA negotiated in 2009, the salary cap would have been up to $157 million now, whereas it's $24 million less under the 2011 edition ($133 million). He also points to commissioner Roger Goodell's salary as part of the league's power according to CBS Sports, but it remains to be seen if any of this will actually help him get the CBA voided. It could just be a play to build his position ahead of the 2015 election to determine the next head of the NFLPA.
