Sebastian Vollmer headlines those absent at practice today

Sebastian Vollmer has worked all over the offensive line this training camp. Traditionally the team's right tackle, he's swapped with Nate Solder for Tom Brady's blind side at times thus far.

Today Vollmer was missing from practice, the second straight day.

That's certainly not the best news. The Patriots have had to do a lot of shuffling on the offensive line thus far in camp, with names like Bryan Stork (rookie center) and Nate Solder being injured at various points. Stork is back at practice, which is a good sign.

The severity or context of Vollmer's injury is not yet known, but it's a situation that bears watching.

The other notable name is Michael Hoomanawanui, who has been missing from most of camp. Hooman returned to practice yesterday but was apparnetly held out again today. Behind Rob Gronkowski, the Patriots essentially do not have a capable tight end. Strange as it may seem, Hooman holds an integral role on the 2014 Pats.
