Aaron Dobson traveling to Minnesota, Jamie Collins questionable with thigh injury
A couple quick notes on the injury front for the Patriots as we get closer to tomorrow's match with the Vikings in Minnesota:
- Early signs point to Aaron Dobson making his season debut tomorrow, as he has reportedly been packing his bags in the team locker room preparing to travel. If healthy, Dobson can be a much needed infusion of pass-catching talent outside of the numbers for Tom Brady. I wrote earlier this week about how he could potentially be the key missing piece for the Pats offense. Two things to keep an eye on if Dobson plays are how many snaps he plays and who will take a seat on the bench. My guess is Brandon LaFell.
- Exciting young linebacker Jamie Collins is listed as questionable for Sunday's game with a thigh injury. Minnesota's rushing attack has been drastically diminished with the deactivation of Adrian Peterson, but Collins is one the most versatile players on the Patriots defense at a position where the team has very little depth. If Collins is out, his presence will certainly be missed. His status is one to keep an eye on as we get closer to kickoff.
- Joining Collins with a "Questionable" designation: Defensive end Michael Buchanan (ankle), defensive tackles Chris Jones (ankle) and Sealver Siliga (hand) and center Ryan Wendell (knee). Rob Gronkowski (knee) is listed as probable.
