Adrian Peterson indicted for child abuse


TMZ is reporting that Vikings superstar running-back and former MVP Adrian Peterson is being indicted on accusations of child abuse in North Montgomery County, TX. These reports have been confirmed by others on Twitter:


The alleged victim is an 11-year old boy with many claiming the child to be Peterson's son. The events supposedly took place at Adrian Peterson's house in Minnesota. The running-back was absent from practice yesterday, with his teammates claiming a 'veterans day' as the reason for his absence.

These stories are particularly tragic after it emerged last year that Peterson's 2 year old son died due to an alleged beating by his mother's boyfriend.
