Dolphins CB Brent Grimes wife calls out Revis, says "I really feel like we can win this game!"

The Palm Beach Post has started a new weekly editorial featuring Miko Grimes.
Each week, the Palm Beach Post will carry her no-holds-barred assessment of the Dolphins and their opponent.
Grimes is the wife of, as she puts it "the best corner in the NFL". Also known to the rest of us as Brent Grimes of the Miami Dolphins.

Her first Dolphin opponent to assess just happens to be the New England Patriots. Unfortunately for her, no one sat her down and explained to her how well the Patriots are at taking "bulletin board material" and using it to motivate the team. And she provided plenty of material for them, especially by singling out Darrelle Revis.

And with the way these new illegal-contact flags have been flying around like dollar bills at KOD, it’ll be interesting to see if Darrelle Revis can cover a guy without putting his hands on him all the way up the field.

Did Revis look a little slower last year, or was it just me? If I were the Dolphins, I’d send Mike Wallace on back-to-back go routes, just to see if Darrelle has lost a step or two.

You want the easiest way to fire up a football player? Call him slow. Then they will do anything to prove you wrong.

Last year was Revis' first year back from an ACL tear and was admittedly not himself for the first half of the year. But by the end of the season he had rounded back into his All-Pro self. Now with comments like this he will be chomping at the bit to prove that he is back to being 100 percent and is still the best cornerback in the league.

Also Revis has never been one to maul the receivers down the field. What makes him special is his technique. He plays the receiver and reacts to them and the ball, putting himself in position to make plays. The new emphasis on illegal contact should have no effect on his coverage skills.

She also took a shot at the linebackers

they have no idea how we’re going to spread out the offense and force those big, slow linebackers to cover in open space.

She must not have noticed that Brandon Spikes is in Buffalo now and that Jaimie Collins is no slouch. If she had watched the playoff game against the Colts last year she would have seen he was all over the field making plays.

I still can’t figure out how Miami is in a conference with teams in New York, Boston and Buffalo, but that’s for another time

They are also in a conference with Denver, Oakland, San Diego and Houston. They are in the same division because they are all east coast AFC teams. Pretty simple really.

We have the talent and we have the game plan. All we need to do is execute and, instantly, those hating-ass reporters who rated us 29th in the league will hop back on the Miami bandwagon so fast, it’ll feel like Lebron came back.

She had a lot of incoherent ramblings in her "assessment" but she really did hit this one on the head. Regardless of the sport, all Miami fans are bandwagoners.
