Brandon LaFell, Danny Amendola not worried about their production

Week 3 is almost here as the Patriots face the Oakland Raiders this Sunday. Patriot critics have been buzzing about the lack of production from Brandon LaFell & Danny Amendola. Are they victims of Brady's favoritism of Gronk and Edelman?

Brandon LaFell, who signed with the Patriots after spending four seasons with the Carolina Panthers, has a valid reason for his lack of production. Learning a new system and trying to get in sync with a completely different quarterback takes time. LaFell has already adopted the "Patriot Way" as reported by Karen Guregian. When asked about his lack of receptions, his response was spot on.

Boston Herald:
We’re not stressing, man. It'd be another story if me, (Kenbrell Thompkins) and other guys and we catch 10 balls and we lose," he said. "Ten balls don’t mean nothing. If we go out here, and we have no catches and win the game, at the end of the day, the only thing that counts is wins. In the bigger picture around here, it’s winning.

As for Danny Amendola, I think he is a victim of depth at the receiver position. Also, the Patriots play to their strengths when the situation is right. Thanks to solid play by the defense and the established running game in week 2, the Pats had no need for 3 receiver sets. In his second year with the Patriots, Amendola understands that he must be prepared when called upon.

Boston Herald:
I’m just worried about doing my job each week," he said. "I’m focused on the Raiders and that’s all I’m really worried about right now.

Expect some production from both of these receivers as the Pats try to work the Raiders secondary. Patriots fans need to be patient and hopefully these two receivers will pay off huge dividends!
