At 1:00 pm eastern, Shalize Manza Young tweeted that there will be a new starting offensive line tonight. Dan Connolly will move to left guard, Bryan Stork will make his first NFL start at center, and Cameron Fleming will get his first start at right guard.

This is a dramatic change in personnel, and one that has been asked for by fans and experts alike. The interior of the line will now have a lot of man, with Connolly at 6'4" 305 lbs, Stork at 6'4" 310 lbs, and Fleming at 6'6" 325 lbs. Connolly has been one of the Patriots best linemen, and now will take the place of Marcus Cannon who is now a back up. Stork takes over the center position from Connolly who was filling in for Ryan Wendell, who is still working back from injury. Fleming, who is more of a tackle with his size and experience, will move inside to take the place of the struggling (to put it nicely) Jordan Devey.

These moves could provide the boost the Patriots have been looking for in their offensive line. It will be interesting to see how this new line will hold up against the great pass rush of the Kansas City Chiefs. The rookies will have the face up against Dontari Poe, Tamba Hali, and Justin Houston, a lethal combination of speed and power that will likely be exploited with stunts and blitzes.
