Patriots blown out by Chiefs, 41-14

Yikes. That game was ugly, to put it kindly. The Patriots were blown out by the Kansas City Chiefs in prime time, ,in a game where they just didn't show up. Quarterback Tom Brady wasn't on the same page as his receivers, going 14-23 for 159 yards, a TD and 2 interceptions (including a pick-6) before giving way to rookie quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who went 6-7 for 70 yards and a touchdown to Rob Gronkowski.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Patriots had no answers for Kansas City's offense. They gave up 455 total yards and 4 touchdowns, 3 to KC star man Jamaal Charles (2 receiving, 1 rushing). The Chiefs amassed 207 total rushing yards and 248 passing yards from quarterback Alex Smith. Smith did a great job spreading the ball around, hitting 6 different receivers, including tight end Travis Kelce, who lead the Chiefs with 8 receptions and 93 yards and a touchdown.

The lone bright spot, if any, would be Brandon LaFell, who had 6 catches, 119 yards and a touchdown. Overall, though, a night to forget for Tom Brady and the Patriots.
