Schefter: Welker suspended 4 games

Filed to ESPN: Broncos WR Wes Welker has been suspended four games for use of amphetamines, per sources.

Welker, who tested positive back in May (see below) has already appealed the suspension 2 weeks ago, but it was lost according to multiple reports.
Per two sources, Wes Welker's positive test came in May.

Broncos have known about Wes Welker's 4 game suspension since before camp but were holding out hope on his appeal.

According to Jay Glazer, the Broncos knew about the suspension before camp started.
Welker's appeal happened two weeks ago. Parties were notified today that he lost the appeal.

According to Deadspin, he took molly cut with the amphetamines the same day he was seen handing out $100 bills at the Kentucky Derby.
