Brady's ankle injury is "significant"

There are a lot of conflicting reports out there surrounding the ankle of Tom Brady and the latest one from Pro Football Talk says it's more serious than we were led to believe.

Amid wildly deviating reports and accounts of the condition of the joint that connects Brady’s foot to his leg, it’s hard to know what’s true and what isn’t. The latest twist comes from Tom Curran of CSN New England, who reports that the injury was “significant” and that Brady required “a lot of therapy” in order to play on Sunday.

Brady certainly didn't look like a guy playing hurt, throwing for 361 yards and 4 touchdowns against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, so I'm inclined to doubt the nature of these reports, but Brady will definitely bear watching during the week as the New York Jets come into Foxborough for another important AFC East match up. At least for my part, I'm more worried about Jerrod Mayo and Stevan Ridley, both of whom were lost to knee injuries. So, unless something concrete comes up about Brady that puts his status for Thursday in doubt, I'm more focused on Ridley and Mayo.
