Kenbrell Thompkins gets his walking papers

ProFootballTalk:
One of the many disappointing players on the Patriots’ offense has been released.

Kenbrell Thompkins, a wide receiver who showed promise as a rookie last year but hasn’t done much this year, has been waived. Thompkins has just six catches for 53 yards this season after catching 32 passes for 466 yards last year.

The New England Patriots continue to provide conversation for talk radio. Nobody generates news like the Patriots. Another deep threat got deep sixed, and now he walks the unemployment line.

Kenbrell Thompkins was an undrafted free agent from the University of Cincinnati in 2013. There were high hopes for Kenbrell in his second year with the Patriots. Those hopes won't be fulfilled in New England. Our fondest memory will be the game winning catch against the New Orleans Saints last year.

38 catches, 519 yards and 4 touchdowns in 2013 didn't guarantee a roster spot in 2014. I hope Kenbrell has an updated resume like Tom Brady.
