The much anticipated match up between AFC rivals did not disappoint. New England led at the half with a score of 17-12. The 1-5 Jets kept up with the Patriots through the very end. However, the Patriots fought until the end and came out top in a nail biter that ended with a block on the game winning field goal attempt. The Patriots dodge a bullet beating the Jets 27-25.

There were many story lines leading up to this game. How would Revis play against his old team? Who would step up in the absence of Stevan Ridley & Jerod Mayo? How will the offensive line play against a strong Jets defensive front? Defensively, the Patriots overcame struggles of getting off the field on third downs and was just gashed by the Jets running game. Offensively, the line held its protection and took advantage of the few possessions that they had.

Pats Life MVP definitely goes to Shane Vereen with two touchdown receptions, 47 yards rushing, and 71 receiving yards. The unsung hero of the game belongs to Danny Amendola with his go ahead TD grab and recovery of the Jets onside kick attempt.

Other notable performances include:

Brady - 20-37, 261 yards passing, and 3 touchdowns
Gronk - 5 receptions and 68 yards receiving
Edelman - 4 receptions and 44 yards receiving

On October 26th, the Patriots will host the visiting Chicago Bears.
