Pro Football Focus puts Revis over Talib in 2014
Pro Football Focus, a well-respected source for deep statistical analytics for the NFL, has Darrelle Revis ahead of Aqib Talib in most statistical categories to this point in the season.
Revis has allowed a lower completion percentage, lower total yardage, and registered a lower QB rating than Talib. Each corner has two picks, while Talib has allowed two touchdowns to Revis' one. I would also argue that overall, Revis has covered a more talented group of receivers than Talib.
The Revis vs. Talib debate has been a noteable storyline this week for obvious reasons. Adding fuel to the fire is MMQB writer Greg Bedard stating that he believes Talib has had a better year.
Both have their work cut out for them on Sunday and figure to be integral in the outcome of the game.
