Report: Devin McCourty expected to be OK

Jeff Howe of The Boston Herald reports Patriots safety Devin McCourty is expected to be OK after suffering a rib injury last night against the Bengals.

McCourty left during the second quarter and did not return. He was, however, spotted on the sideline for the remainder of the contest, possibly suggesting the injury was not severe. The guess here is that the Patriots were just trying to be cautious with their star defensive back, considering the game was by all accounts, in hand by halftime.

Rookie defensive lineman Dominique Easley also left the game in the second quarter with a right shoulder injury and did not return. He would stay in the locker room for tests throughout the second half, so his injury may be something to monitor going forward.
