Ring Envy: What Bengals fans said- 10/7/14
Our popular Ring Envy series is a spinoff of the "Green Envy" series we run at CelticsLife. We lay out comments from the opposing team's fans during the game after a Patriots win!
We focus this weeks Ring Envy at the Cincinnati Bengals fans. Bengals fans were feeling pretty confident going into this game. Almost every fan had the Bengals winning by at least two touchdowns at home. It was surprising to see how quickly their fans turned on Head Coach Marvin Lewis. They are jumping off of the Bengals bandwagon real quick in Cincinnati.
First Patriots Score:
What the ****? Did they tape our defense?
Like how are defense just stood there looking confused this whole drive...
Wow. Wtf? I just went to use the BR and the Pats are almost in the end zone?
Yay nonexistent defense!
Classic Marvin Lewis coached team.
I'm shocked.
ML is good buddies with Belicheck. The Bengals allowed the Patriots to start strong to make them feel good. Now that that's over ... The rest of the game is now ours.
Hating on Marvin Lewis
I've never liked Marvin. I can still support the team and not like the coach, shocking I know.
Marvin blows as a coach. The bengals are going now where once again.
It's sad but with all he's ( Marvin Lewis)done to build this team. He's not a Andy Reid or Bill Belichick. He can't coach this team to the next level. That doesn't make him a bad person, just a bad coach. He was horridly embarrassed and out coach again in primetime. He's given it his best, but his best continues to fall short.
Marvin Lewis MOST go. He can't/won't motivate players.
Want to know why the Bengals **** it up in primetime and playoff games? Marvin Lewis just smiled through the whole press game news conference about his team getting smashed snuff film style!!! ENOUGH SAID!!
S**t think about it. Even Oakland did better. That just goes to tell you it all came down to poor coaching.
0-5 Postseason, 6-19 Prime Time, 93-91-1 All Time... all you need to know about Marvin Lewis.
Devon Still Moment
Hate the loss but kudos to Robert Kraft for showing the video featuring Leah Still as well as having the cheerleaders wear his jersey during the video. They also announced that Mr Kraft has donated $25,000 to Cincinnati Children's. I see those pictures of that little girl with that beautiful smile and am reminded what is really important.
Great moment nonetheless, sad I missed it. Good work Robert Kraft and Pats.
Just when I wanted to keep hating the Patriots they go and do a cool and classy thing like this. I hope every team the Bengals play does something like this!
Robert Kraft really knows how to run a franchise with classi each really cares about people. This isn't just PR to him.
I really hate it when the Patriots do something that makes it hard to hate them. Classy move Pats
much respect to the patriots for doing that.
The Best of the Rest
Timid, weak, unsure, deer in headlights, tail between legs, among others also fits along with slow
The players better return their checks this week after this effortless, heartless performance.
Lets all predict how many spots we fall in the power rankings. I say 12
If you're watching he game and are surprised... Grow up
I hate this team right now
This right here. How can a team get creamed 41-14 less than a week ago, then come out and look like Super Bowl Champs?? You don't have the absolutely the worst O-line in the NFL for 3 weeks and completely fix it on a short week. Something's fishy.
You don't hold 3 NFL teams to 33 pts. in 3 games and then give up 40 to the worst offense in the NFL. Something's fishy.
Apparently the NFL (or whoever fixes games) was not going to let the Bengals beat the mighty Patriots. We just can't let that happen.
Revis should have been called for illegal contact or holding on EVERY pass thrown to his side of the field. He wasn't. Revis and Joe Haden must have been anointed whatever they were anointed entering this league. Because enforcing this years rule emphasis would make both average at best corners.
I wanna stab myself in the eye with a spoon rt now.
The brighter the lights, the bigger the choke.
I no longer have any faith that this team has gotten over the hump. I'm on the 1 and done bandwagon now.
We're on to Carolina.
"We’re on to [Carolina]. It’s nothing about the past, nothing about the future. Right now we’re preparing for [Carolina]."
I'm with you guys. 12-4? Maybe. Division title? Probably.
Playoff win? Nope.
