Will old college rivalry spring up in Pats/Bears game?

In the NFL we constantly see college back stories emerge whether it is old teammates facing off or former college rivals playing on the same team. This weekend we have Alshon Jeffrey and Alfonzo Dennard facing each other after a very memorable moment in the Capital One Bowl in 2012.

In the third quarter of the post season bowl game the score was 13-16 with the Gamecocks leading the Cornhuskers. During South Carolina drive their star wide receiver Jeffrey was involved in a physical match up with Alfonzo Dennard. After some heated shoving both players decided to throw fists at one another. This lack of composure from both players resulted in their simultaneous ejections. The Gamecocks went on to win 13-30.

It has been a few years since their scuffle but I'm sure neither player has forgotten that play. Both players ended their college careers on that play. Both entered the 2012 draft with Jeffery being selected in the second round and Dennard was selected in the seventh.

Dennard was asked about the confrontation with Jeffrey and he stated:

That was in college... I don’t want to get too much into that. I’m in the NFL now, so that’s what I’m focused on.

Dennard appears to be thinking with a clear head, but if he does line up man to man against the talented Bear receiver don't be surprised if you see a re-enactment of their last college play.
