Jets fans demand sacking Idzik via plane banner

Andrew Mills/NJ Advance Media

Times are rough for the general manager of the New York Jets. The quarterback they selected in the second round of the 2013 draft is riding the pine, they did not go after any big name corners in free agency and are left with guys they are pulling off the street, and Chris Johnson has been lackluster. At 1-8 the Jets have one of the worst records in the league and their fans are not silent.

Many of the gang green faithful have even raised thousands of dollars to purchase several billboards bearing the message "Fire John Idzik". It doesn't end there. Just today a plane flew over the Jets practice field "FIRE JOHN IDZIK". What is interesting is that the people behind the website FireJohnIdzik.com were not behind the plane;

On the home page of the FireJohnIdzik.com the creators of the site state:

Show Woody that we paid our PSL's. We put up with the massive rip-off that is MetLife Stadium and the absurd price of tickets & concessions. But we will no longer put up with John Idzik running the show.

According to NJ.com the owner of the Piper PA-12 plane that bore the message today was listed as Jersey Shore Aerial Advertising LLC, based in Manalpan.

What do you think of the plane banner? Do you think it is rational for fans to donate their hard earned money to voice their opinion in an eccrentric manner? Let us know in the comments section!
