Video: Bill Belichick press conference
Bill Belichick spoke to the media this morning at 9:30 to address the "Deflate-Gate" allegations. Belichick maintained throughout the press conference that he had no knowledge of the balls were deflated, opening by saying that he was "shocked" when he first heard the allegations.
He said that he'll make the balls in practice as nasty as possible to simulate game conditions, but he has never discussed air pressure with his staff. He did mention briefly that Tom Brady (who speaks to the media at 4 pm this afternoon) will address his own preferences later today.
The Q&A did get a little heated and Belichick used the phrase "I told you everything I know" a few times. He also deflected a little to Tom Brady and the league office.
Is this really surprising? Whether or not the Patriots are found guilty, you expect them to take a line like this. We're still no closer to determining whether the Patriots were actually involved, but the signs point to some form of punishment being handed down by the NFL. As I mentioned, Brady will address the media this afternoon and talk more about his personal preferences.

Just watched @Patriots Bill Belichick’s news conference. He did a great job—smart, concise, truthful!
