Brady isn't done with Manning rivalry, hopes he comes back

Tom Brady. Peyton Manning. Two of the best quarterbacks in the history of the NFL.

They've enjoyed a rivalry that has been unprecedented. Facing each other a total of 16 times. That's equivalent of a whole NFL season with Brady owning an 11-5 record. That's good enough to win a division and make it to the playoffs.

But all good things must end and it looks like that end is drawing closer and closer for Manning. But Tom Brady hopes that the end can be pushed back for his rival and friend for at least another year.

Ny Daily News

What a great player that he’s been for this league,” Brady said on Thursday. “He’s a great competitor. I’ve been fortunate to play against him a bunch of times. I certainly hope he comes back, because the league will miss him if he doesn’t. But those decisions are up to him. I’m sure it’s up to whether he’s mentally and physically (healthy), if that’s what he wants to do. But I certainly hope he’s back.

Manning apparently was dealing with a couple of injuries to his legs this year that limited him down the stretch. But its hard to tell if it was all due to the injury. Archie Manning, Peyton's father, has said Manning hasn't made up his mind yet but he expects him to decide soon.

If Manning does decide to come back, we will get another match up between him and Brady, since both teams won their division this year. With the match up taking place in Denver.
