Ray Lewis says Brady is known only because of Tuck rule

The Ravens don't know when to stop. In the wake of Tom Brady beating the Ravens in the AFC Divisional round, ex-Raven Ray Lewis (who won 2 Super Bowls with the team) went off and said Tom Brady has only been successful because of the tuck rule, according to NESN.

“The only reason we know who Tom Brady is, because of a tuck rule,” Lewis said. “There’s no such thing as a tuck rule! If the ball is in your hand, and I knock it out your hand, whether it’s going backwards, forwards, lateral, sideways, however it’s coming out, that’s a freaking fumble.

“But guess what we created? We created a freaking tuck rule!”

Let's forget the below video from 2011 in which he says Tom Brady is the best player in the NFL, though. That's not important.

Let's also forget is 53,000 and change passing yards, 392 touchdowns, 3 Super Bowls in 5 tries, 9 AFC Championships, the most postseason wins and passing touchdowns in postseason history, etc. None of that stuff is important, either. Facts can be a hindrance, right, Ray? Let's forget all of that. All of that came down to a stupid rule, at least according to Ray Rice.

Ray, it's time to move on from that. Brady's so talented that I doubt that rule would have made much of a difference in his career. Plus, we're now 14 years removed from that particular game. Ray, it's time to move on. It happened the way it did, and all the complaining about it in the world won't fix it.
