Richard Sherman may have to deal with Babygate

NESN:
Regardless of whether the Seattle Seahawks win Super Bowl XLIX, Richard Sherman could have something to celebrate after Sunday. The Seahawks cornerback’s girlfriend, Ashley Moss, is expecting their son within the week, though they’re hopeful that the little guy will be able to wait. According to ESPN, Sherman said Wednesday that a recent doctor’s visit made the couple believe their child won’t be born in the next few days.

The decision should be an easy one for Richard. "We'll cross that bridge when we come to it.", said Sherman. We know he will not consulting former QB Boomer Esiason concerning this important family decision.

Bob Raissman, NYDailyNews:
Boomer Esiason apologized for insensitive comments he made about New York Mets second baseman Daniel Murphy exercising his collectively bargained right to paternity leave, to be with his wife Tori in Florida during and following the birth of their son.
Esiason said he would have demanded Tori Murphy get a “C-section before the season starts, I need to be there Opening Day.”

Things turned out fine for Daniel Murphy. He and his wife had a healthy baby boy. Daniel returned after a two game absence to bat .289, and made the National League All-Star team. His team improved from 74 wins to 79. It was not all the "doom and gloom" that Boomer Esiason predicted.

For Richard Sherman, the "new kid on the block" should have a much easier upbringing than he did. Sherman's
father was a drug dealer in Compton, CA in one of most dangerous areas in the country. "As a parent, you want to set a great example for them, so I guess, to a degree, a lot of things are riding on it."
