Baltimore Ravens are turning over their roster, bigtime

Jamison Hensley, ESPN:
Baltimore Ravens defensive tackle Haloti Ngata has been suspended for the rest of the regular season for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances, the team announced Thursday. Ngata, a five-time Pro Bowl defender, received a four-game suspension from the NFL, and he's eligible to return for the playoffs.

He will forfeit $2.1 million in salary as a result of the suspension.

Jamison Hensley, ESPN:
Baltimore Ravens defensive tackle Haloti Ngata was fined $8,268 by the NFL for kicking a Washington Redskins player in Saturday's preseason game.

Ngata put his right foot into the side of Redskins left guard Shawn Lauvao for what he described as retaliation for a late hit.

The year in review for the 2014 Baltimore Ravens resulted in five arrests, including the Ray Rice suspension. Security Chief Darren Sanders was charged with a sex offense. The 2015 version of the Baltimore Ravens will have a completely different look. Anybody with any link to domestic violence on their record need not apply. Team President Dick Cass: 'We treated domestic violence the same way as a bar fight. That was a mistake.' WR Dorial Green-Beckham of the University of Missouri is already a scratch from the Ravens' draft board.

The Ravens need to restructure the contract for DT Haloti Ngata due to the $16 million cap hit for 2015. The two missteps by Ngata in 2014 will more than likely prevent a long term deal. The five time Pro Bowl nose tackle is not alone with restructuring. WR Torrie Smith and QB Joe Flacco are two possibilities as well. There are questions about hall of famer, General Manager Ozzie Newsome possibly retiring.

It's a good thing Ravens' owner Steve Biscotti is not a teacher.
