Doug Baldwin tries to explain his celebration

After scoring a touchdown on his lone catch of the night, Doug Baldwin had an...interesting celebration. He turned around and pretended to take a dump, which resulted in a penalty. We don't know for sure who it was directed at, but a good guess is Patriots cornerback Darrelle Revis, who was covering him on the play. But Baldwin declined to share, according to Pro Football Talk.

“That is between me and the guy it was directed at,” Baldwin said.

Baldwin did say it wasn’t directed at Patriots cornerback Darrelle Revis, who was covering him on the touchdown play and who appeared to be the target of some mocking from Seahawks corner Richard Sherman after the play. No matter the target of the faux-defecation, Baldwin’s likely to wind up paying a fine for it before the league flushes away the 2014 season once and for all.

Personally, I don't know if I buy it. Maybe it was directed at the entire Patriots team, or at Revis personally, but it rubbed me the wrong way either way. But Revis and the Patriots got the last laugh, as the touchdown was Baldwin's only catch (which was a fluke in and of itself because the ref blocked Revis's path) and the Pats beat the Seahawks. Time to sit down, and be quiet, Doug Baldwin. Your team lost. I'll leave you with this tweet from Ben Volin:
