Brandon Browner now a free agent, Patriots don't pick up option

The cornerback was a key part of the Patriots run to a Super Bowl victory. They are now seemingly letting him walk.

There were reports that the team was letting him find his market value. Rumors said that perhaps they were talking extension.

This move makes it unlikely that Browner will be back. He was owed $4.5 million from the Patriots. A good deal, seeing as he's likely to command about $7-$8 million on the open market.

We'll see how this plays out. It is also unlikely that the Pats make this move without some type of agreement with Revis.
