Deflategate investigation hits 10th week

OH BOY, MORE DEFLATEGATE NEWS! ....except this really isn't news at all, but I digress.

The investigation into whether or not the Patriots intentionally tampered with footballs used in the AFC Championship game with the Colts has hit its 10th week, and there is still no timetable on when the investigation will wrap up.

Ted Wells is in charge of leading the investigation. And as Darin Gantt of Pro Football Talk reminds us, he spearheaded the Dolphins bullying scandal a few years back, which took quite a while.

Wells has been given a ton of leeway from the league, as commissioner Roger Goodell told Wells to be thorough.

“We have not put a timeframe on Ted Wells,” Goodell said. “We’ve asked him to be thorough, complete and when he’s finished then he’ll give it to us and to the public in general.”

So basically, no one has any idea when this is going to wrap up. Don't hold your breath. Mike Reiss's prediction of a fine seems like the most likely scenario, and he's usually right on the money with pretty much everything.

This picture below pretty much sums up how we all feel about this by now....
