Jim Kelly is very tough on Tom Brady

Austin Knoblauch, Boston Herald:
Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly is the latest pundit to give his take on Tom Brady and the Deflategate saga.

Appearing on CBS Sports Network, the former Buffalo Bills play-caller said Brady had to have known New England Patriots team staff were manipulating footballs.

"Oh, there's no doubt," Kelly said. "There's no way that an equipment manager in the National Football League is going to do something to the football without the greatest quarterback ever to play knowing."

Kelly was appearing on the NFL Network with his daughter Erin, who was promoting the new book, Kelly Tough. The book deals with struggles that Jim faced in his battle with cancer. He mentioned about the outpouring of love and support he had received, including that from his friend, Roger Goodell

Jim Kelly considers Tom Brady a "good friend." Jim wondered why Tom Brady would get caught up playing with underinflated footballs. "Tom could throw a pancake for a completion if he needed to, said Kelly."

It is almost as though Tom Brady did not pay his annual dues to the QB fraternity. Other than Brett Favre, all of the others have distanced themselves from one of the best to play that position. Joe Namath had his sideline moment with Suzy Kolber. Derek Carr admitted to doctoring the footballs at Mile High Stadium. John Elway's son was arrested. Dan Marino fathered a child with a different woman other than his devoted wife. Jim McMahon made his usual negative comments about current Bears' QB Jay Cutler and the NFL. Ben Roethlisberger went completely off the rails with his sexual escapades. Boomer Esaison made disparaging remarks about paternity leave.

And New England Patriots' QB Tom Brady may or not may not have had anything to do with air being released from a football.

New York Times:
Dan Fouts, the San Diego Chargers' quarterback must pay union dues to the National Football League Players Association or be suspended from the final game of the 1977 season. Fouts, who stopped paying dues in 1978 because he said he was opposed to the agreement.

Dan Fouts was never suspended.

What's the QB club going to do to Tom Brady? Kick him out of their exclusive club?
