Marshawn Lynch to be featured in new Call of Duty video game

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is going to be part of one of the most popular video game franchises in the world: Call of Duty. The newest installment will be called "Black Ops III."

Beast Mode, who is an avid fan of the franchise, was recently at Activision Motion Capture Studio in Los Angeles to have his body captured by 3-D and 360 imaging for the purpose of creating his character.

Per Sam Cooper of Yahoo! Sports:

“I’ve been in the Super Bowl, movies, music videos, Madden. But to have your own character in Duty, I mean, it’s almost like you arrived,” Lynch said.

It seems like a fun idea to integrate celebrities/athletes as characters in video games. Christopher Walken voiced the lead character in Grand Theft Auto 5, and Mark Hamill voiced The Joker in Batman: Arkham Asylum. Those are just a few examples, and I'm sure there are tons of others I'm forgetting.

Subsequently, I've never played COD before, and I feel like I'm missing out. I'm not much of a gamer anymore, but having Lynch in the newest game may make me more inclined to give it a shot.

Who could forget Lynch playing Mortal Kombat with Gronk on Conan O'Brien's show?
