The NFL future of Jonas Gray is again cloudy.
Following their 17-10 win over the Washington Redskins yesterday, the Miami Dolphins have released Gray off their roster. If Gray clears through waivers, he'll head back to Miami's practice squad.
After being released from the Patriots in a surprise move on the final day of roster cuts, Gray latched on with the Dolphins as a practice squad signing. He was promoted to the 53-man roster a couple days before yesterday's game but didn't factor into the game plan at all, as he didn't see any time with the offense through the 60-minutes of action.
At this point it feels like his two-million yard, 85-touchdown performance against the Colts last season happened a lifetime ago.
