Patriots squeak by Giants 27-26

In typical Patriots-Giants fashion, it was a battle until the very end.

Stephen Gostkowski nailed a 54-yard field goal with six seconds left to lift the Patriots to a 27-26 win over their kryptonite, the New York Giants.

Tom Brady led New England 44 yards with 1:46 left to preserve the unbeaten season. He finished the game going 26/42 for 334 yards, two touchdown and one interception.

His counterpart, Eli Manning, finished 24/44 for 361 yards and two scores.

The Patriots leave this game a little more banged up than they entered it, however. Julian Edelman left the game in the first quarter after hurting his ankle and did not return.

New England caught a huge break towards the end of the game, when Malcolm Butler broke up what looked to be a sure touchdown reception by Odell Beckham Jr. with 2:06 left. That set up a Josh Brown field goal that ultimately allowed for the Patriots to march down the field and kick the game-winning field goal.

The Patriots return home for their next game against the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football.
