Big surprise: Patriots lead the league in dropped passes

With the team missing their top offensive threats, the drops continue to pile up.

Brandon LaFell in particular turned in a particularly horrid game yesterday against the Eagles, as he dropped several key passes and failed on a couple of routes, negating what could've been big plays.

The putrid display is backed up by the stats too. According to ProFootballFocus, the Patriots are the most unfortunate team in the league when it comes to hanging on to passes.

Things should hopefully get better when Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski return to the field, however there is no firm timetable for either to return. The Patriots will likely have to take on the Texans next week on the road with a similar dearth of weapons as the past couple weeks.
