Byron Maxwell thinks Sam Bradford is better than Tom Brady

Byron Maxwell's tenure with the Philadelphia Eagles hasn't gotten off to the best start. The former Seattle Seahawks cornerback signed a five-year, $63 million contract with Philly in the offseason and hasn't lived up to it at all.

In late May, he guaranteed that the Eagles would represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. Look how that's worked out.

And now, when asked if he thought Tom Brady was the best quarterback in the league, he said he'd "like to think" that Sam Bradford is better.

Uh....LOL. Thanks, Byron. You just gave the Patriots all the bulletin board material they need for the week, as if they weren't already pissed off by the Denver loss.

Yes, the same Sam Bradford who's torn his ACL twice, is better than Brady. The same Sam Bradford who's had a plethora of other injuries. Ironically enough, Bradford will be playing this weekend for the first time since suffering a concussion and a shoulder injury a few weeks ago against Miami.

Granted, Maxwell's comments may have been taken out of context (and I realize I may also be taking them out of context, but it's fun to make myself think that I'm not), and it seems like he's just trying to show support for his teammate, but still....
