Marcus Mariota may be out for the remainder of the season

Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota's season may be over.

According to NFL.com's Conor Orr, the former Oregon Ducks star suffered a minor knee injury when he was sacked by Jamie Collins. He was replaced by back up quarterback Zach Mettenberger and did not return to game action.

Given that Mariota dealt with knee issues earlier in the year, the Titans may decide to sit him out for the remainder of the year. They're 3-11 and fighting for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, so sitting him out makes complete sense.

Mariota was having a fine rookie season despite the injury, throwing for 2,818 yards, 19 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
