An MRI is apparently scheduled for later today, but initial reports indicate that the injury is a sprain.
ProFootballTalk:
PFT has confirmed that left tackle Sebastian Vollmer suffered a sprained ankle during the game.
If the Broncos defeat the Bengals on Monday Night Football tonight, the Patriots would secure the top spot in the AFC and be able to rest all of their players for the game next week in Miami. The team has already had to go without several key players this year. Starting left tackle was placed on season ending IR earlier this season as well as starting runningback Dion Lewis. The team also lost wide receiver Julian Edelman to a broken foot and other key players like Rob Gronkowski and Danny Amendola have missed time as well.
The team could certainly use a break, and they'll have two weeks to rest if things go their way tonight.
