Patriots upend Chiefs 27-20, advance to AFC Championship Game

The Patriots defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 27-20 in the AFC Divisional Round at Gillette Stadium to advance to the AFC Championship Game next Sunday. With the return of Julian Edelman and a healthier Rob Gronkowski, the Patriots looked more like the team that began the season 10-0.

Brady finished the day going 28 of 42 for 302 yards and two touchdowns, both to Gronkowski. Edelman finished with 10 catches for 100 yards and looked like he didn't miss a beat.

Kansas City's loss is the first in it's last 11 games. The Patriots will either host the Pittsburgh Steelers or travel to Denver next weekend.

The Patriots got off to a fast start, scoring on the opening possession to make it 7-0 and really never looked back. Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith went 29 of 50 for 246 yards and one touchdown.
